Sultan and Cedarcrest dominated the Cascade Conference subregional tournament at Granite Falls, but a pair of Lakewood wrestlers helped make good for their team.
MARYSVILLE — The district wrestling tournament didn’t hold a lot of surprises for the Tomahawk wrestling team.
Monroe kept it interesting, but the all-senior Tomahawk basketball team ably defeated the Bearcats, clinching the league’s third district playoff slot.

MARYSVILLE — With a 62-56 win over North Sound Christian, the Highland Christian boys showed that they’re a factor in the up-in-the-air Northwest Conference.
ARLINGTON — A big game by Arlington senior Kyra Prause and supporting performances from the rest of the Eagle girls basketball team helped the Arlington girls avenge a loss to Marysville-Pilchuck a week earlier.
