Jack Myles, President & CEO of North County Bank, was named the new Chairman of CBW, Community Bankers of Washington, formerly known as WICBA, Washington Independent Community Bankers Association, at its annual convention held at the Skamania Lodge on the Columbia River Gorge in Stevenson, WA, on September 20-21, 2007. CBW is an organization representing over 50 community banks that are headquartered in Washington and not owned by an out-of-state conglomerate. The organization focuses on banking issues from a community bankers perspective. Its board of directors is made up entirely of successful community bankers who are highly respected by their peers.

MARYSVILLE Prominent Marysville and Tulalip area business leaders are accused of having a big heart for Jerrys Kids. They will be incarcerated on Thursday, October 4th 2007 in a mock jail at Bobs Burgers and Brew. Local Firefighters will pick up the jailbirds in Paddy Wagons provided by Roy Robinson Motors; they will then be taken back to the precinct at Bobs where they will be sentenced to one hour behind bars. Offenders will be booked at MDAs Maximum Appreciation Facility, have they mug shot taken and will be fed Bobs finest bread and water.
