Jack Myles named Chairman of Community Bankers of Washington

Jack Myles, President & CEO of North County Bank, was named the new Chairman of CBW, Community Bankers of Washington, formerly known as WICBA, Washington Independent Community Bankers Association, at its annual convention held at the Skamania Lodge on the Columbia River Gorge in Stevenson, WA, on September 20-21, 2007. CBW is an organization representing over 50 community banks that are headquartered in Washington and not owned by an out-of-state conglomerate. The organization focuses on banking issues from a community bankers perspective. Its board of directors is made up entirely of successful community bankers who are highly respected by their peers.

Community Bankers of Washington is dedicated to promoting the value of Washingtons community-based financial institutions for the benefit of consumers. It acts as a political watchdog for the community banking industry, actively advocating before the Washington State Legislature. The organization also provides educational opportunities for bank employees and directors. At its annual convention, it facilitates a vendors forum, allowing community banks access to products and services that are available to banks of all sizes and locale.
