Protect our health care

In 1987, Cascade Valley Hospital completed a major expansion. That year about 5,600 patients were treated in the new Emergency Department. Last year the same facility saw nearly 22,000 patients. In 1987 the population of Arlington was 3,500. Today it is 15,000, and expected to double by the year 2025.

Cascade Valley Hospital nurses and doctors are working very hard to provide prompt and comprehensive care to everyone in our community, but the current facility is no longer adequate. We are struggling to decrease waiting times, but have run out of space. Our Emergency Department volume has increased steadily over the past 20 years, and it will continue to increase.
Everyone in our community deserves and expects prompt, excellent care for our friends, neighbors and families. I urge everyone to support our Hospital Districts expansion bond measure. Please vote Yes for Proposition No. 1. Help us protect high quality health care in our community. We owe it to each other.
