Amazing growth

I recently visited Arlington, where I lived until I graduated from high school in 1968, for the first time in over 10 years. Having lived in Southern California for almost 40 years, my vision of future retirement has been that of living at least part of the year in the small town atmosphere coupled with above average infrastructure that Arlington provides.

I had previously visited Arlington on several occasions and observed steady growth in the area and was impressed with a populous that was willing to support the expansion of the infrastructure, including Cascade Valley Hospital, which had gone from the small hospital with limited emergency and surgical services of my youth to the facility it became in 1986 with expanded emergency and surgical services.
During this last visit, I was absolutely amazed by the growth in the area in the 10 or so years since my prior visit and that Cascade Valley Hospital had remained virtually unchanged size-wise for 20 years.
I believe that the people being served by Cascade Valley Hospital are very fortunate to have it, along with the many fine doctors it attracts, and should support the expansion of its facilities to keep up with the growth in the areas population. They should also be aware that a lack of community support of Cascade Valley Hospital may eventually result in a decrease in services or, as has been the case in Southern California, the closure of emergency room facilities.
I look forward to the possibility of once again being part of the Arlington community and doing my share to support and keep Cascade Valley Hospital viable.
I urge all of you within the Cascade Valley Hospital district to support it now and for the future by voting yes on Proposition 1.
