Support your fire districts

As a commissioners wife at District 14, I would like to bring to everyones attention the Fire Districts Proposition 1, which is to be voted on May 15.

As a commissioners wife at District 14, I would like to bring to everyones attention the Fire Districts Proposition 1, which is to be voted on May 15.
This will officially bring Fire Districts 14 and 18 together as one department. The elected boards will stay the same to allow all taxpayers to have an equal voice. This new North County Fire Authority will combine fire and EMS services for the Bryant, Freeborn and Warm Beach communities. This will help reduce duplication of services, reduce overhead costs and improve efficiency. It will also help reduce the need for the two districts to go out for additional funding such as bonds, which in return saves the taxpayers money. This measure will only use existing tax rates and is not a new tax or fund. I would also like to assure everyone, as a taxpayer and someone who has and does depend on these services, that I have found the medical services and fire service of North County Fire/EMS (fire districts 14 and 18) are working to the highest standards; know that if the community needs service that it will be taken care of in a professional manner.
These men and women risk their lives everyday as guardians of our great communities to ensure our families safety. The communities should be proud of the North County Fire/EMS (fire districts 14 and 18), knowing that if an emergency arises we will be cared for in the most professional manner. We need to continue supporting these two districts anyway we can. Please remember to vote Yes fire districts 14 and 18 Proposition 1 on May 15.
Thanks again, I am very proud to be part of these great communities.
