Committing three fumbles and throwing three interceptions against any team makes it difficult to win. When those six turnovers come against an undefeated Edmonds-Woodway squad on the road, it led to a 48-7 manhandling defeat of the M-P Tomahawks Friday, Oct. 20.
MARYSVILLE The Lady Tomahawks qualified one diver at the 4A District One diving competition and lost to Jackson Thursday, Oct. 19-21.
LAKEWOOD The M-P cross country team made themselves at home Saturday, Oct. 21, at Lakewood High School at the Wesco and Cascade Conference championships. The Lady Tomahawk harriers finished second among nine teams and their male counterparts came in seventh place.

The outlook is rosy for the boys golf team at Lakewood High School this year. With four returning seniors, three of whom have reached the state tournament, Coach Chris Knights team is loaded with talent.
In 1999 when Lakewood High School formed a girls golf team, all of the golfers came in with no experience and no formal training. Its taken coach Chris Walster some time to build up the program but the results are beginning to take shape.

The early going for the Marysville-Pilchuck girls tennis team has thrown the Lady Tomahawks a number of challenges, not the least of which is the recent rainy weather.
MARYSVILLE The rain was pouring down as M-Ps Michael Stevens crossed home plate to score the Tomahawks sixth run, ending the game with a 6-5 victory over Mount Vernon.
MUKILTEO Though the visitors, the Marysville fastpitch team quickly made themselves at home against Kamiak High School March 16, cruising past the opposition 12-1, scoring six of their runs in the fifth inning and bringing the game to an early end.
