M-P tops Arlington in golf

The Tomahawk boys golf team squeaked past Arlington as they hosted the Eagles at Cedarcrest Golf Course March 19.
While medalist honors were split between Arlingtons top two golfers, a well-rounded performance from Marysvilles top five golfers ultimately gave them the better team score.
Marysvilles top four golfers finished within four strokes of one another over 18 holes at the par 70 course. Sophomore Brandon Caldwell led the team with 81 strokes, while Kyle Hanks and Nathan Pratt each finished the course 13 over par. Senior Justin Freeman completed the course in 85 strokes, while Adam Kramer rounded out the scoring set with 92.
Aside from a March 25 league match after The Globe went to press, the Tomahawks wont compete on their home green for another month, when they face Snohomish in a May 1 meet.
