Marysville fishing derby coming up

Saturday, May 2 marks the date for Marysville Parks and Recreation’s 15th annual free fishing derby at Jennings Memorial Park. The event is open to children ages 12 and under and begins at 8 a.m. Participants may use their own equipment or use provided equipment with a one-fish-per-entrant limitation. The Kiwanis Club will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the nearby pavilion. All participants are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Marysville Food Bank. Kickball league accepting teams

Marysville Parks and Recreation is accepting registration for teams for its summer kickball league. The season consists of a six-game regular season and a single-elimination tournament. Games are 55 minutes or seven innings, played at the M-P softball fields. Registration ends May 22 with the season beginning June 2. Cost is $120 per team without shirts or $200 per team with. May is PGA Free Lesson Month

For the 12th year, PGA/LPGA Professionals will be offering free 10-minute golf lessons throughout the month of May as part of PGA Free Lesson Month.
