Tomahawk graduate Taylor Stevens caps a blockbuster basketball season with an offer to play college ball at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene.

Stevens emerged in 2007-08 as M-P’s leading scorer, averaging 20.4 points per game and nine rebounds per game during his senior season, in which he was named first-team all-Wesco North.

North Idaho competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Tulalip 3-on-3 returns for another summer

Once again the Tulalip Resort Casino will host its annual 3-on-3 tournament, called the largest one of its kind in western Washington.

The tournament will take place Aug. 9-10 in the casino parking lot with competitive divisions for boys and girls, grades four through 12 and adults. Funds raised from the annual tournament benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County. Completed entries must be received by Aug. 1 and can be downloaded from the web site at www.bgcsc.org. Marysville football accepting players

The Marysville Knights football program is currently accepting registration for athletes in grades kindergarten through eighth.

Parents may sign up their children at the Smokey Point Navy Support Center practice fields on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout July or get information and registration forms at the team website, www.eteamz.com/marysvilleknights. For questions, contact Lynn Ishmael at 360-631-8765.

Navy Exchange to host basketball camp

Marysville Hoopz is still accepting boys and girls for its basketball fundamentals camp at the Smokey Point Naval Complex Outdoor Courts. The camp is open to athletes in grades four through eight.

The camp began July 18-19 but athletes may still attend camp dates July 25-26, Aug. 8-9, Aug. 14-16 and Aug. 21-23. For information or to RSVP, call 360-653-8488.
