ARLINGTON — Marina Ciferri of Marysville Getchell avenged her loss against Arlington’s Livia Markwart, defeating her 6-1 and 6-3 and winning the 3A district title May 18, qualifying her to the state tournament.

ARLINGTON — Sunday’s game made for intense viewing for Seattle Seahawks fans. Visitors to the Arlington Free Methodist Church were on the edge of their seats Jan. 18, as they were treated to buffet lines of freshly cooked meals and desserts, while watching a heart-pounding post-season game.
MARYSVILLE – It should be a classic battle of the run vs. the pass when Marysville-Pilchuck travels to Vancouver to play the Columbia River Chieftains Saturday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the Class 3A state playoffs.
ARLINGTON – The Arlington girls volleyball team was knocked out of the playoffs Nov. 6, losing to Oak Harbor in five games.
MARYSVILLE — The Lady Tomahawks outlasted Oak Harbor 3-2 in volleyball Oct. 14. Team leaders included Bailey Nelson with 27 kills and Kendal McCoy with 36 digs. Marysville-Pilchuck’s next game is at Marysville Getchell Thursday, Oct. 23.
