The Tuesday, Jan. 30 Northwest 1B victory at the Arlington Boys and Girls Club moved the victors into third place.
Masters Touch improved to 5-4 in league play and 7-8 overall. Lopez fell to 1-7, 3-10.
Coach Steve Brown said it was a game that had a lot of press defense and after his squad took a 12-point halftime Lopez returned to make a game of it.
We were sizably ahead 29-17 at halftime and Lopez came out in the third quarter and scored 20 points, Brown said.
Masters led 42-37 heading into the final quarter of play and used a 13-10 advantage to maintain the victory.
Tia Breekveldt led Masters Touch with 19 points and 12 doubles.
Chelsea Graber had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 13 steals.
Sharaya Burrows stole 11 Lopez possessions.
