Marysville U-10 teams battle it out on the pitch

For a day at least, on March 13, boys were better than girls. Two Marysville U-10 soccer teams set out in a battle of the sexes at the Premier Indoor Sports Arena in Marysville and the Dynamite came out victorious by a score of 9-4.

MARYSVILLE — For a day at least, on March 13, boys were better than girls.

Two Marysville U-10 soccer teams set out in a battle of the sexes at the Premier Indoor Sports Arena in Marysville and the Dynamite came out victorious by a score of 9-4.

All kidding aside, all 20 players were winners as the event was also to raise money to fight cancer.

The Dynamite led at halftime by a score of 5-1 before the Wildcats scored three straight to put the score within a goal.

After the match, both teams met with Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring for some words of encouragement.

The Dynamite consisted of Fernando Aguilar, Nicholas Chambers, Jordan Gonzalez, Caden Kolling, Thomas McCormick, Nathan Morford, Jaden Motta, Oliver Norman, Karson Tuck and Kyren Warbus.

The Wildcats consisted of Autum Bell, Trina Davis, Ai Erbe, Natalie Furness, Rhielynn McIntosh, Ana Orozco, Sara Rolfe, Kloey Simons, Tabatha Simons and Leah Taylor.
