Junior wide receiver Marcus Harkins was selected by Cascade Conference coaches as an all-league player.
Harkins was voted second-team for his athletic talents on the gridiron.
First-year coach Dan Teeter said Harkins is a real deserving recipient.
He was always a threat offensively. We had him on one side and Shane Holland lined up on the other, Teeter said.
If the ball was in the air he would use his hands to come down with it more often than not.
Teeter said in addition to being a great athlete on the field, he is also fun to be around off the field.
Hes a great kid off the field. Happy go lucky. Other kids enjoy being around him.
Harkins is a multi-sport athlete and hit the weights immediately after the football season to prepare for Americas national pastime in the spring.
I look forward to watching him on the baseball diamond, Teeter said.
Coach Teeter acknowledged that it would have been nice to see a few other kids get recognized for their hard work, but realizes it goes with the territory of a one-win team.
