MARYSVILLE — While the 12-year-olds that make up Marysville Little League awaited word of their selection to an all-star team, their younger counterparts came out to Cedarcrest Middle School to work for the privilege.

With pitching machines on the mound and the coaches lined up in judgment, 9-, 10- and 11-year-olds took a few pitches before going out to shortstop to field a hit and throw to first. That would be followed with a jog to the outfield where they’d make a catch.

The following players will represent their league on the 12-year-old all-star teams.
