Wanted murder suspect now suspect in Marysville armed robbery

Marysville Police Investigators believe James Douglas Fryberg, 21, who is wanted on a $1 million Second-Degree Murder arrest warrant is responsible for an armed robbery that occurred in Marysville Tuesday evening.

MARYSVILLE – Marysville Police Investigators believe James Douglas Fryberg, 21, who is wanted on a $1 million second-degree murder arrest warrant is responsible for an armed robbery that occurred in Marysville Tuesday evening.

At about 5:45 p.m., March 9, the Marysville Haggens Pharmacy was robbed by a male subject that matched the description of Fryberg. Investigators were able to obtain independent witnesses who identified Fryberg as the robber through photo line-ups.

Although no weapon was seen by employees of the pharmacy, the suspect implied that he had a firearm when he demanded prescription narcotics from the clerk. As a result it is the Marysville Police Department’s viewpoint that Fryberg should be considered armed and dangerous.

Marysville Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Fryberg so that he can be taken into custody.

“We do not want the public to intervene or to try to apprehend Fryberg, but rather ask that people call 911 to report his whereabouts,” according to Comdr. Robb Lamoureux of the Marysville Police Department.

Anyone that has or believes they have information regarding the robbery or the whereabouts of James Fryberg are asked to also call Marysville Police Detectives at 360-363-8350.

Marysville Police have received some tips and continue to follow-up on them.
