EVERETT — Low-income, uninsured college students and other adults will be offered free whooping cough shots from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Room 105 of Everett Community College’s Whitehorse Hall. Those under 18 years of age need a parent or guardian’s signature for permission to vaccinate.

EVERETT — Naval Station Everett will be conducting security drills in the harbor around the base on Wednesday, Oct. 24, and Thursday, Oct. 25, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days. The exercise will include security boat maneuvers and the use of automatic weapon blank rounds to increase training realism. There will also be pyrotechnic visual and sound effects. Exercise participants will not be issued live ammunition.
MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Strawberry Festival April Friesner Memorial Scholarship Program is again inviting young adults to try out to represent the Marysville community while increasing their leadership and public speaking skills.
