TULALIP — The Tulalip Tribes are staging their annual “Raising Hands” dinner on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the Orca Ballroom of the Tulalip Resort Hotel and Casino.

This event is intended to recognize local and regional community and non-profit organizations whose works have contributed in a variety of ways to the health and wellness of the surrounding communities, which is why they’re being awarded grants by the Tulalip Tribes.

Several organizations that work in the areas of health, education, social services, the environment, art and culture, and public service will be on hand to receive such recognition.

Tulalip Tribal Chair Mel Sheldon Jr. and the Tulalip Color Guard will open the ceremony, followed by the Tulalip Singers. A traditional salmon dinner will be served, and the program is set to include a presentation on the Tulalip Tribes’ culture and history.
