MARYSVILLE — On Friday, April 27, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a one-vehicle fatality accident in the 2800 block of Turk Road in Marysville.

Preliminary information indicates the victim driver, a 20-year-old woman from Marysville, was traveling westbound on Turk Road when she failed to negotiate a left turn, and her Chrysler four-door left the roadway and struck a tree.

The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Marysville, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit were called to investigate the accident.

At this time, it appears alcohol may have played a factor in the accident.

Detectives are also investigating whether the victim’s vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident which occurred in the general area just prior to the fatality accident.
