Marysville City Council to consider increasing solid waste rates

The Marysville City Council will consider a recommendation to adopt a resolution to increase solid waste collection rates charged by the city at a June 22 Public Hearing which begins at 7 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 1049 State Avenue.

Marysville — The Marysville City Council will consider a recommendation to adopt a resolution to increase solid waste collection rates charged by the city at a June 22 Public Hearing which begins at 7 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 1049 State Avenue.

The city is proposing to increase rates for solid waste collection for all customers receiving collection services from the city of Marysville. These adjustments are the result of increase cost for providing services. They would occur over the next four years with an initial increase of 9 percent. The proposed initial increase, shown on the table below, would be effective July 1, 2009.
