The evening is a benefit to aid Cocoon House in Everett.
On tap are silent and live auctions, as well as food, a cash bar and entertainment from two live bands.
The evening is planned for 6-10 p.m., Nov. 10 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Those taking part in the live auction can bid on items such as a large screen TV, quilts, airline tickets and a crabbing boat trip including dinner.
Silent auction items include services such as house cleaning and car detailing.
Shirley Wolf of Keller Williams said Cocoon House is the only community organization in the county specifically serving homeless youths. The home targets runaways or neglected youths between 13 and 17 years of age. The organization operates safe houses in both Everett and Arlington.
I think anyone whos been a parent, you just cant stand to see a kid on the streets, Wolf said of her companys decision to support Cocoon House. A bowling event held for the organization in May raised $15,000.
For An Evening of Giving, entertainment will be provided by two bands, including rock group Sweptaside. The WJRB Band will provide a blue-grass counterpoint.
