OAK HARBOR — Marysville Getchell improved in boys tennis defeating Oak Harbor 6-1 Sept. 28. MG’s winners were: Singles—Nolan Lechner, 6-3 and 6-2; Nathan Snyder, 6-4 and 6-4; Eben Heacock, 6-1 and 6-2; Doubles—Joshua Angulo and Josh Villavicencio 6-0 and 6-1; Daniel Kiesz and Mack Gray, 6-0 and 6-2; Conner Brennan and Gordy Delap, 6-2 and 6-0. MG’s record is 4-7.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck boys tennis team lost to Snohomish 7-0 Sept. 28 and at Everett 7-0 Sept. 26. M-P’s record is 1-10.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Getchell High School girls soccer team was handed its first draw of the season by Edmonds-Woodway 1-1 Sept. 27. Oshinaye Taylor scored MG’s goal in that first half despite E-W controlling the ball a majority of the time. E-W responded with the game-tier in the second half. MG’s record is 6-0-1.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington girls soccer team drew with Shorecrest 1-1 Sept. 27. McKenzie Buell scored the goal for Arlington with the assist by Kristen Phillips. Arlington’s record is 6-2-1.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington girls volleyball team blanked Meadowdale 3-0 (25-23, 25-13 and 25-16) Sept. 27. Highlights for Arlington were: Ally Peterson with 36 assists and three kills; and Morgan Van Laar with 10 kills and two aces. Arlington’s record is 5-1.

OAK HARBOR — The Marysville-Getchell girls volleyball team fell to Oak Harbor 3-2 (25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 18-25 and 15-11) Sept. 27. Highlights for MG were: Ruth Reznikov led MG with 10 kills, and Juliana Cameron added nine. MG’s record is 1-5.

SNOHOMISH — Marysville-Pilchuck won a tie-breaker against Snohomish 3-2 (28-26, 16-25, 27-25, 13-25 and 15-13) in volleyball Sept. 27. Highlights for M-P were: Alexis Wojciki with seven kills and five blocks. M-P’s record is 1-4.

ANACORTES — The Lakewood girls volleyball team defeated Anacortes 3-0 (25-21, 25-22 and 25-17) Sept. 27. Sidney Goodall led Lakewood with 12 kills. Lakewood’s record is 4-1.

BELLINGHAM — The Tulalip girls volleyball team went 5-0 defeating Lummi 3-0 (25-9, 25-22 and 25-8) Sept. 27.

MARYSVILLE — Arlington won all seven matches against Marysville Getchell in boys tennis Sept. 26.
