The picture of former Mayor Dave Weiser on the front page of last weeks edition is clearly an insult to all those who know him. Dave is a kind, decent and respected person who deserves better than this kind of trash. He did a large number of positive things for Marysville when he was mayor.
Although he reluctantly agreed to go along with the program, the photo may be acceptable for a PAWS calendar but I seriously doubt that even a dog would appreciate its presence on the front page of The Globe.
If this is the best you can do for your Page One gallery, it may be time to lock the door and go to work for one of the supermarket tabloids. I understand they have plenty of positions for people whose taste is generally found in an alley dumpster.
