Earlier this year I wrote a letter encouraging the voters to vote no on the Cascade Hospital Bond because there were too many questions to be answered first.
Betty Sehlke, a member of the Silvana Community Association, asked if we knew how to help a friend and neighbor who were being fined for not clearing his property of debris.
The Three Strikes law that voters passed in 1993 did not include second-degree robbery on its original list. It was added later.
The campaign for a new County Sheriff is on and it is important to take a close look at the men running and to consider your vote carefully. The new sheriff will be with us for many years and will play a critical role in all of ours lives. Keeping Snohomish County citizens and families safe as we welcome so many new people into the area in the coming years will be a real challenge and we want to elect the best of the best.
Many times we take for granted those protecting us and Id like to take the opportunity to thank several people in the Snohomish County Sheriffs office for their service and the generosity they have and continue to show all of us. First, Id like to thank Sheriff Rick Bart for all the years of dedicated service hes provided the citizens of our County.

The second measure is for a Sound Transit (ST) list of projects. Edmonds Crossing, a proposal for a massive, new ferry terminal, is on both lists.
I am writing you today to point out how the view of the German Shepherd dog has changed over the years; how this typical American hero has been reduced to somewhat of a villain and how this has affected the characteristic American Dream. During World War Two, the German Shepherd was used to complete many tasks and quickly took center stage in many households.
Scott Solla, present Arlington City Councilman, loves his position. If you were not aware, he is running to retain his position No. 3 on the Arlington City Council. I would like to tell you about the man you dont know. Scott is not the type of person who will toot his own horn so I will toot it for him.
Graham Smith is the best candidate for the at large position on the Arlington City Council. Hes served Arlington well for six years and has the experience we need; hes served on several Council committees, including Finance and Government Operations, Public Works and Airport and as chairman of the Utilities and Public Safety Committees. With 30 years in the financial industry, he has the knowledge and skills to make responsible financial decisions for our city.
