REDMOND – Marysville Getchell High School’s girls volleyball team opened its season Sept. 11 with a non-league loss at Redmond.
The home team won three straight 25-14, 25-21 and 25-19.
MG Coach Richard Abiador said his team had some standout performers despite the loss.
Audrey Boaz, a junior, led the visitors on offense with seven kills. Sophomore Juliana Cameron added five. Sophomore Robin Meador led the defense with 20 digs.
For Redmond, Audrey Hyem had seven kills and Dagny Safron 14 digs.
