M-P beat the visiting Lady Wildcats on senior night at the Jim Linden Field house Thursday, Oct. 28, 3-1 and swept rival Arlington 48 hours earlier on the road.
Both were Wesco North league matches and improved their record to 7-1 in league play and 10-4 overall.
Game scores against Oak Harbor were 23-24, 25-15, 25-20 and 25-18.##M:more]#
Oak Harbor fell to 3-5, 7-6 on the season.
Senior Nancy Couls had 13 kills and 14 digs, and junior Kristeen Juarez contributed nine kills and was a perfect 19-for-19 serving with two aces.
The Lady Tomahawks had already clinched a 4A District I playoff spot before traveling north on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Seemingly playing for nothing but pride in the rival match, the visitors dispatched of the Lady Eagles 3-0.
M-P improved to 6-1 in league play and 9-4 overall while Arlington fell to 1-6, 1-12.
Game scores were 27-25, 25-10 and 25-18.
Seniors Couls, Laura Degerness and Ashley Kehler were the statistical leaders for the playoff bound Tommies.
Couls had 13 kills, Degerness added seven kills and Kehler contributed 17 assists.
