Toys for Tots Airport Run

The Toys for Tots Airport Run welcomes 5k and 10k runners and walkers Saturday, Dec. 16, at noon.
Beginning and ending at the Stillaguamish Athletic Club in Arlington, this beautiful cross country style course follows the flat and mostly wooded trail system around the airport. This event is fun for the entire family.
Runners age 14 and under with paying adult and those age 70 and over run for free.
Free T-shirts, refreshments, music, prizes, top-finisher ribbons and trophies. Bring a new unwrapped toy for the tots if you like. One hundred percent of the race entry fees benefit the Marines Toys for Tots. See if you can beat Santa to the finish line. Also featured is a kids 50-yard dash.
Entry fee is $15 before Dec. 9 and $20 after to day of event.

RiverDawgs accepting players

Team Fitness Jr. RiverDawgs is now accepting players for U-13 and U-15 baseball clubs. Managed by Beau Blacken, former professional baseball player and Dan Keller, Skagit Valley Community College baseball coach.
The RiverDawgs specialize in developing the complete baseball player by teaching the baseball fundamentals, effective strength and conditioning principles, and successful goal achievement.
Try-outs are scheduled for Dec. 16- 17 from 8 a.m. to noon, and Dec. 18 from 4-8 p.m. Contact Beau at 505-496-4730.
