Tomahawks make all-league list

Eight M-P students earned all-conference recognition for their achievement in winter sports.
Senior center Taylor Stevens was the top vote-getter out of Wesco North, earning a first-team nod for a breakthrough season in which he averaged 20.4 points per game and helped lead the Tomahawks to a third-consecutive district appearance. Teammates Blake Scheller and Colin Thomason were named to the honorable mention list in their senior year.
On the girls side, Britt Harris was also named a first-teamer for a revealing junior season. She averaged 17 points per game in a season that saw M-P secure the third seed into districts. Tomahawk forward Jessica Masters made the leagues second-team list as a senior.
After a season that saw M-P defeat eventual state champion Snohomish, two Tomahawk swimmers made all-league in their events, pulling off Wesco Norths top finish in the district finals. Aaron Goff was recognized for his district swim in the 50 freestyle, while Taylor Gibson was named for diving.
Likewise, as the district champion in the heavyweight division, senior Michael Pfeiff added another laurel for a standout season in which he finished fourth at state.
