MG blanks Arlington; playoffs start Thursday

ARLINGTON – Marysville Getchell shut out host Arlington Tuesday night 2-0.

Jadin Thompson-Sheldon scored both goals for the winners, one in each half.

Meanwhile, M-P lost to Stanwood 3-1 in another 3A Wesco North matchup.

Also, Arlington lost to Oak Harbor 2-1 Thursday.

District playoffs start Thursday at Shoreline High School.


In 2A play, Lakewood lost to Ferndale Monday 4-0 after blanking Lynden Christian Thursday 2-0. Riley Christensen and Layla Thomas scored goals, with Iliana Ramirez and Jaylene Priebe-Garcia getting the assists.
