The girls stayed perfect through three games as M-P defeated Stanwood 1-0 in front of a home crowd in a Sept. 15 game that went to overtime.

Junior forward Mady Schoonover had her second game-winning assist of the young season as she set up sophomore Becca Lentz’s goal, ending the shutout that had extended through 80 minutes of regulation.

Two nights later, Everett was the winner of a 1-0 conference game on their home field.

Junior goalkeeper Lauren Schoonover’s five halves of shutout play came to an end as Everett forward Annie Sittauer scored in the 32nd minute of the Sept. 17 meeting. A new streak started in the second half as the Tomahawks held Everett to their lowest scoring output through three games.
