Local wrestlers champion at 3A district tournament; others also qualify to regionals (slide show)

STANWOOD — Arlington, Marysville-Pilchuck and Marysville Getchell boys wrestling competed at the 3A district tournament held at Stanwood High School.

M-P placed first overall out of seven teams with 321 points. Arlington placed third scoring 265.5, and MG was sixth with 138.

Local champions and second place bouts (both to regionals): 106—Cole Daurie (M-P) won by pin over Daniel Heiss (A) in one minute, two seconds; 113—Austin Davis (M-P) won by majority decision 20-11; 126—Christian Evanger (A) won by forfeit over Will Rush (A); 132—Baily Alvis (M-P), second; 138—Gavin Rork (A) won by dec. 6-1; Justin Collier (M-P), second. 160—Cooper McAuslan (A) won by injury default; 170—Keith Pablo (M-P) won by maj. dec. 9-1; 195—Colton Ferro (A) won by dec. 6-2; and 220—Charlie Diedrich (MG), second.

Third and fourth placers (both to regionals): 113—Tanner Lauzon (M-P) third; 132—Jeremy Williams (A), third, dec. Brantly Stupey (A); 145—Trey Padgett (MG), fourth; 152—Michael Stewart (MG) third; 138—Cayden White (M-P), third, by dec. Sam Rush (A); 160—Alex Hatch (M-P), third, dec. Kristian Fairbanks (A) 5-3; 170—Manuel Munoz (A), fourth; 195—Dyton Lucas (M-P), third; 220—Tyson Sawyer (MG), fourth; and 285—Jeffrey Roullier (M-P), fourth.
