Arlington, Lakewood win soccer shutouts; Eagles 7-0 in volleyball

GIRLS SOCCER

Arlington

Audrey Jay scored a hat trick to lead the Eagles to a 4-0 shutout over Mountlake Terrace Thursday. Jay had 3 goals while Ellie Rork added 1. Getting one assist each were Sydney Crandall, Athena Dumadag and Jordan Bartlow.

Lakewood

In 2A action, the Cougar blanked Blaine 3-0, scoring all their goals in the second half. Iliana Ramirez scored twice and Kahlan Buckley once. Getting assists were Riley Christensen, Jasmine Graham and Layla Thomas. Marysville

M-P tied Cedarcrest 1-1 Thursday, while MG lost to Archbishop Murphy 2-0.

VOLLEYBALL

Arlington

The Eagles improved to 7-0, while Mountlake Terrace fell to 0-4 Thursday with the scores 25-14, 25-18, 25-21. Taylor Pederson led the offense with 20 kills, while Arianna Bilby had 14 kills, 5 aces and 8 digs. Laura Hadley added 4 kills, while Teagan Sutherland contributed 3 kills, 3 aces and 2 blocks.

Marysville

M-P beat Cedarcrest Thursday 25-15, 25-13, 25-14 to improve to 2-5 on the year. The visitors fell to 1-5 on the season.

MG lost to Archbishop Murphy 15-25, 21-25, 23-25. Courtney Taylor had 6 kills and a block, while Kate Robert had 5 kills and 2 blocks. Peyton Schmidt added 2 service aces and 10 digs.

Lakewood

The Cougars lost to Blaine in three-straight Thursday.

CROSS COUNTRY

Marysville

M-P’s girls were led by Alexia Sandoval at a meet Thursday at Hamlin Park. She placed third with a time of 25 minutes, 52.8 seconds. Freshman Rachel Turral was sixth, Corianne Cross 18th, Julia Davis 19th, and Ivanna Borrero-Alt 26th.

For the boys, Raffaele Simeone placed eighth with a time of 22:10.10. Sophomore Carson Serge was 10th, Cohen Cross 20th, freshman Tyler Forney 21st, Austin Davis 22nd and Cayden White 23rd.

BOYS TENNIS

Marysville

MG lost to Everett Thursday 7-0. Rylee Worth won 8 games and so did the doubles team of Kane Selapack-Damon Morton for the Chargers.

SWIMMING

Shorewood beat M-P 133-48 and MG 141-31 Thursday.
