Praise to Ken Cage for his 19-year term as president of the Marysville Historical Society, and his efforts in bringing a museum to town.

Praise to all of those who voted in Tuesday’s election. That’s democracy in action.

Praise to the city of Marysville for bringing a Fourth of July celebration back to town.

Praise to all of those who are donating to the All-City Food Drive.

Raze to Waste Management for waiting until there was a crisis before re-teaching us out to recycle.

Praise to all of those who again take those extra steps to make sure recycled items are clean and not contaminated.

Praise to the Arlington Education Foundation for giving out grants.

Praise to Marysville schools for expanding AVID to include all opportunities for students.

Praise to Arlington and Marysville for all of their efforts to make schools safer.

Praise to Marysville police for collecting coats for kids.

Praise to Fire Marshal Tom Maloney for working with the Cold-Weather Shelter to keep it open this winter.

Praise to Arlington for its working in getting “Opportunity Zones” to help develop the Manufacturing and Industrial Center.

Raze to those who threaten schools. Ridiculous.

Praise to those who hire people with disabilities.

Raze to the teacher-pastor at an Arlington Christian School for voyeurism. Sick.

Praise to Arlington and Marysville for their Halloween offerings.

Praise to Sound Publishing for the excellent journalism it has provided readers this past year, including 10 awards for your newspapers.

Praise to Maryfest for fixing up the old Baxter building on the waterfront for its new digs, even though it will only be able to use the building for a few years.

Praise to Toys for Tots for expanding its reach to the Arlington area.
