Hits

To Jim Ballew for his many years of service as parks director for Marysville. We can thank him for all the great parks and programs we have in town.

To those educators who work summers to make sure students don’t slide too far back by fall.

To all those who donated to the Marysville Kiwanis Club’s Aktion Club pet supplies drive for NOAH and the Everett shelters.

To those who participated in the Relay for Life and Cystic Fibrosis fund-raising efforts.

To Indivisible Marysville for putting on the only local political forum that we know of prior to the primary.

To those running for office. It’s nice to have choices. To David Gray and Case Baker of Arlington for returning a wallet with $500 in it to its rightful owner. To Major League umpires for raising money to help needy kids.

To Marysville athletic director Greg Erickson for his 26 years of service to the district.

For developing Spook Woods. Homeless and drug addicts gathered there, and it was a spot for too many parties and dangerous fights. And don’t forget trees sometimes falling down during windstorms.

To those who participated in the recent fundraisers for the American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis and Leah’s Dream.

To Abundant Faith International Christian Center for gathering schools supplies for needy kids.

To the Randalls for bringing community gardening to Arlington

To Arlington police for its bike rodeo.

Misses

Try to park in the middle of the lines in parking spaces. Too many don’t do that and you’re just asking for dings on your vehicle.

There are too many bugs at Marysville’s Movies in the Park. And they start too late. Next year, how about moving the location somewhere like Asbery Field and having them only in August when they can start early enough for kids to enjoy them.

Can any motorcyclist just drive the speed limit straight down a street and not speed and swerve back and forth?

Why can’t the city make room for right-turn lanes at major intersections? We waste so much time and gas there. To Jeff Seibert and Mariana Maksimos for not participating in The Marysville Globe’s primary election coverage. We noticed you were able to do it for the Voter’s Pamphlet.

To Jeffrey Mann of Marysville who defrauded Target customers of more than $700,000.

Delays in the traffic signal at Island Crossing.
