Steven Joe Stalter

Steven Joe Stalter, 66, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at his home in Concrete, Wash.
He was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Mernett and Ruth (Zerbe) Stalter.
Steven grew up in Ohio and moved to Marysville, Wash., in 1956 and graduated from Marysville High School in 1960. He was a longtime resident of Marysville working as a truck driver for Everett Fuel and Lumber, Bayliner, Safeway and many other companies.
He moved to Arizona and returned to Camano Island for 12 years before moving to Concrete, Wash., six years ago. Steven belonged to the Moose Lodge in Arizona and enjoyed panning for gold, working on old cars and duck hunting.
He is survived by his companion, Sharon Rodio of Concrete; his daughter, Carrie Stalter of Marysville; his son, Steven Stalter of Mountlake Terrace, Wash.; four step-sons, Willy Snyder of Everett, Wash.; Tom Snyder of Camano Island, Wash.; Jeff Stalter of Seattle, Wash.; Bill Rodio of Mount Vernon, Wash.; two step-daughters; Lori Rodio of Twisp, Wash.; Tina Rodio Dinsmore of Winthrop, Wash.; 22 grandchildren; Ashley, Patrick, Madison, Owen, Michael, Nathan, Kristen, Kelly, Melissa, Kathleen, Thomas, Leighton, Jordyn, Trey, Bella, Brooklyn, Alexandria, Rachel, Bill III, Lucas, Marissa, A.J. and one great-grandchild, Ashton. He is also survived by five brothers and six sisters; Doris Walker of Apache Junction, Ariz.; Jim Stalter of Apache Junction; Robert Stalter of Lake Stevens, Wash.; Dave Stalter of Phoenix; Anne Straun of Edmonds, Wash.; Betty Leighton of Cherryfield, Mass., Bruce Stalter of Mesa, Ariz.; Carol Mulanax of Stanwood, Wash.; Mike Stalter of Marysville; Patty Stalter of Edmonds; Cathy Tyler of Lake Stevens; numerous nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet Stalter, a step-son Denver Snyder and brothers Mernett Jr. and Mark.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
