Simeon Eugene Whitney, born June 1, 1971, in Toppenish, Wash., passed away November 11, 2006. He was a member of Yakima Indian Nation.
Simeon is survived by his three daughters, Sheila, Arial and Brandi, all of Wapato, Wash.; his parents, Genevieve and Steve Dotson, of Wapato, and Buck Whitney, of Tacoma, Wash. Also surviving are his brothers, Ron (Sherrie) Enick, Roger Enick, and Leon (Annie) Enick, all of Tulalip, Wash., and Kevin Whitney, of Wapato; and his sisters, Lisa Enick, of Lummi, Wash., Mary Jo (Virgil) Whitney, and Antionette Compo, of Wapato. Simeon is also survived by his granddaughter, Meeah Joyce, of Wapato; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members of Wapato and Tulalip.
Dressing was held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at the Merriot Funeral Home in Wapato. Evening services were held at All Tribes Christian Church. He was laid to rest at 9 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at the Parker Cemetery.
