Ray was born in the family home at Valley Gem Farm’s March 22, 1923 and passed away Oct. 16, 2008. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1940. Trained to be a neuro-surgeon at Oregon Medical School. He was instrumental in getting a field unit (Hospital) up close to the fighting line in Korea. Retired from active practice in Portland, at the age of 80. Leaves wife of 55 years Chlorise, six children all in Portland, OR.Kathy (Bob) MD., Scott (Sarah) MD., Kent (Joan) MD. Nancy ( David) PT., Lori ( David), Tod (Gwen MD.) Attorney and bother Dan (Ellen) Sister Janet (Mal) Swanson and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by mother Amy and Dad Charles and brother Fred (Marie).
