Lila Joan Ewy, of Olympia, Wash. formerly of Everett, Wash., passed away May 1, 2007, on her 76th birthday.
She was born May 1, 1931, in New Westminister, BC, Canada, to Lyall and Sarah Mountain.
Lila and her husband, Rev. Philip Ewy, served in a number of churches over the years. The Marysville Church of the Nazarene was their last pastorate where they served for 13 years before retiring in 1978.
Lila loved playing the piano and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lila was caring and tender hearted.
Lila is survived by her three children, Mark Ewy, Brad (Lori) Ewy and Linda (Jay) Teal; seven grandchildren, April, Michele, Holli, Alicia, Scott, Sandra, and Hannah; two great-grandchildren, Kohl and Reid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Philip Ewy; brother, Walter; twin sisters, Darlene and Diane; and her twin infant sister, Iris.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. Graveside will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
