Jerry Wesley Bryson

Jerry Wesley Bryson, 59, passed away at home July 26, 2007, in Arlington, Wash.
He was born to Fredrick and Hazel Bryson Dec. 4, 1947, in Everett, Wash.
Jerry graduated from Darrington High School in 1966 and went into the U.S. Army where he served during the Vietnam War achieving the rank of SP5. He received the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement while participating in aerial flight, the Purple Heart, the Army Commendation Medal for Heroism and the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in ground combat. His career after the Army was with the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Jerry was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and the Vietnam Veterans of America. His interests included farming, hunting, fishing, playing with his grandchildren and reading. Jerry was an amazing story teller and a big tease. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. The great outdoors is where he will forever roam.
Preceding Jerry in death was his sister, Monteen Marie Bryson and brother, George Merritt Bryson.
He is survived by his wife Connie A. Bryson of Darrington, Wash., his sons, Frederick Karl (Megan) Bryson, of Arlington, Eric Johnathan (Ashley) Bryson, of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Ramona Smith, of Arlington, Jeannette (Gerald) Green, of Arlington, Lavinia (Jim Hale) Bryson, of Darrington, Cindy (Jeff) Strole, of Ellensburg, Wash., and NoraLee (Rob) Keller, of Whitefish, Mont.; special uncle, Shirlie Bryson, of Darrington; grandchildren, Morgan Bryson and Korbin Bryson.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Darrington Cemetery 1324 SR530, Darrington. A dinner will follow at the Darrington Community Center.
Memorial donations may be made to the Darrington Memorial Dinners or Disable American Veterans.
