Barbara Labelle Blevins

Barbara Labelle Blevins died at home on July 10, 2007, following a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Everett, Wash., on April 8, 1928. She was raised in Everett and attended Everett schools.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Blevins; and her five children, three daughters, Georgia Caler (Connie), of Seven Bays, Wash., Patricia McDonald, of Elk, Wash., Rebecca Jones (Tom), of Rochester, Wash.; two sons, Michael Matthias (Pam), of Monroe, Wash. and Matthew Matthias (Karol), of Lynnwood, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Larrie Lou Cook of Aberdeen, Wash., Bonnie Haugen, of Arlington, Wash., Lynn Bradshaw, of Snohomish, Wash., Laurie Ann Bourke, of Lapel, Ind.; and one brother, David Campbell, of Wenatchee, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her first grandchild, Tim Caler in 1978; one brother, Howard Bagget in 1998; and former husbands, George Matthias and Herb Lindberg.
Barbara had a sparkling wit and a personality that drew people to her. She was a warm and generous lady who shared her vacation homes at the ocean and in the Bahamas with friends and family. She was a member of Normanna Lodge No. 3, Sons of Norway and had a place at Lake Riley.
Her funeral service was held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2007, at Solie Funeral Home; interment followed at 2 p.m., at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood.
