UPDATED | Marysville Fire crews battle Thursday morning mobile home fire

Marysville fire crews are on the scene of a early Thursday morning fire at a mobile home located at Manor Estates 14000 block of 36th Drive.

MARYSVILLE – Just minutes after 3 a.m., March 25, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to report of fire in a mobile home in Mobile Manor Senior Park located at 11424 36th Dr. N.E. In route crews could see a column of smoke. Upon arrival, they immediately went on the defensive to protect the mobile homes surrounding the original home which was fully involved. An additional home had already begun to burn. The fire was contained to the two homes and a carport with a truck in it which was between the two.

The smoke alarm alerted the residents to the fire and they were able to escape the burning home without harm. Unfortunately, their two cats were not so lucky.

The residents of both homes were displaced and Red Cross is assisting them.

No injuries were reported.

Preliminary investigation by the Marysville Fire District Fire Marshal point to electrical as the cause. Damage is estimated at $150,000 for both structures and the truck.
