Dale Lynn Gates buys home decor items from Robin Miller at Favorite Pastime during its Holiday Open House in downtown Arlington Saturday evening, Nov. 4. Miller announced during the open house that she will be giving 5 percent of all sales between now and Dec. 24 to the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women. While most of the participants were centered in the 300 block of N. Olympic Ave., Mirkwood and Shire Cafe, on the north end of Olympic Ave., also served hot apple cider. Others who stayed open late were Flowers by George, who offered hotdogs cooked in a campfire on the street, Arlington Health Foods offered samples for pets, the Quiltmaker Shoppe and Unique Interiors.
