Teen fight results in stabbing, sending 1 to hospital

MARYSVILLE – A 17-year-old is in an Everett hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing Sunday night.

A 14- and 15-year-old have been arrested for the crime. They will be booked into Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett on suspicion of assault in the first degree.

The stabbing took place in the 11900 block of 51st Ave. NE.

Officers responded after 4 p.m. and were told there had been a fistfight involving a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old. While the two were fighting the 15-year-old jumped in and allegedly began stabbing the older boy.

The 17-year-old suffered stab wounds to the upper torso, Marysville Police Department Cmdr. Rob Lamoureux said in a news release.

Officers located and seized a knife at the scene.
