MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Globe has been selected to produce the 78th Annual Marysville Strawberry Festival’s official program.

“We’re proud and excited for the opportunity to produce this guide,” said Stuart Chernis, publisher of The Marysville Globe. “We’re committed to making this the best guide ever for the best festival ever.”

Chernis noted that this year’s program would be the first to be included in its entirety on the Marysville Globe’s Web site.

“We really appreciate the due diligence of Maryfest, Inc., in making their choice,” said Chernis, who praised Maryfest Vice President-Elect Linda Farrington and Advertising Chairman Genie Rinderer.

“The Marysville Globe provides us with an opportunity to achieve a broader reach overall,” Rinderer said. “We’re looking forward to a good working relationship.”

“We can’t control the weather, but we hope the snow and floods we’ve had will contribute to super-sized strawberries this year,” Chernis said.

The Marysville Strawberry Festival program is set to come out June 10.
