Shooting injures Mville youth, police looking for suspect

MARYSVILLE A late afternoon shooting in downtown sent a 17-year-old boy to an Everett hospital last weekend.
The April 28 shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of 80th Street NE. The victim was shot in the left arm and sustained non-life threatening injuries. He transported to an Everett hospital where he was treated and released, according to Marysville Police Commander Robb Lamoureux, who said the investigation is still in the early stages.
Witnesses were able to identify a vehicle involved but were still looking for the suspect, Lamoureux said. We actually have a person of interest, We have somebody that were looking for. He definitely has police history.
There were three people in the vehicle and the victim was acquainted with them. The suspected shooter was a local, who lived in Marysville.
Were still trying to sort that out, Lamoureux said. It was not a random shooting.
