Sheriff’s deputies respond to second fatal collision in one day

ARLINGTON – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit responded to their second of two fatal collisions when a 19-year-old Arlington man died in a one-car crash Monday night at the 9300 block of Arlington Heights Road.

The man was driving alone when his car left the roadway and struck a utility pole, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 9 p.m.

The man died at the scene.

Investigators were on scene until 1 a.m. Tuesday, Ireton said.

Six hours earlier, unit detectives investigated a fatal motorcycle crash south of Everett, Ireton said.
