MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Police Department will conduct an Aug. 4 public notification meeting, to release information regarding a Level 2 sex offender residing within the city limits of Marysville.

John Dennis Sullivan has registered as a sex offender with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, and will be residing in the 6900 Block of 55th Street NE in Marysville. He is a 57-year-old white male who stands approximately six feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, with brown hair and green-colored eyes.

The public meeting will take place Aug. 4, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Marysville Public Safety Building at 1635 Grove St.

According to records, Sullivan pled guilty in Snohomish County Superior Court in 1996 to two counts of attempted rape in the first degree, and was sentenced to 118.5 months in prison. The convictions were the result of Sullivan, on two separate occasions, entering the residences of unknown adult female victims and attempting to sexually assault them.

This notification is not intended to increase fear, but rather, it is law enforcement’s belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Level 2 sex offenders are those offenders whose risk assessments indicate a potential risk of re-offense within the community at large.
