MARYSVILLE — After more than a decade in office, Marysville Fire District Board of Directors Chairperson and Fire District 12 commissioner Paul Rochon resigned his positions effective June 30.

Rochon served both fire districts since 1993, according to Marysville Fire District Public Information Office Stephanie Price.

Price said Rochon was leaving as he and his family plan a move to Camano Island.

“We want to thank him for his support of the fire district and commitment to his community,” Price said.

The Marysville Fire District Board of Directors consists of three fire commissioners from Snohomish County Fire District 12 and three members of Marysville City Council. Price said the board is now in the process of searching out Rochon’s replacement.

Any applicant must be a registered voter living within the boundaries of Fire District 12, which includes: unincorporated Marysville, the Seven Lakes area and portions of the Tulalip Reservation.

Anyone interested in applying for the commissioners position can send a letter of interest along with a resume to the Snohomish County Fire District 12 Commissioners, Marysville Fire District, 1635 Grove St., Marysville, 98270
