MOUNT VERNON Stephanie Bethea is the featured flutist in Skagit Symphonys Light Classic Concert presented this Saturday, Oct. 21, at McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon. Bethea will be performing Gordelis Flute Concerto.
Bethea has played principal flute in the Skagit Symphony since 2000. Her other principal flute positions have included Skagit Valley Chorale, North Cascades Concert Band, and the Richmond Symphony in B.C. She coached the flute section of the Fidalgo Youth Symphony and acted as flute clinician for the Sedro-Woolley School District.
In addition to the Gordeli piece, the Light Classic concert repertoire includes Arnolds Four Cornish Dances, Dvozaks In Natures Realm and Stills Afro-American Symphony.
