The society will hold an open house and fundraiser June 17 in Jennings Memorial Park from 1 to 4 p.m. The society owns property adjacent to the park and plans to build a $2 million museum there. They have reached about 28 percent of their $2 million goal and will be kicking up their fundraising efforts with several raffles. Were kicking off the public phase of our fundraising, said Historical Society President Ken Cage.
